Power Cab Programming Modes

With one pair of wires coming out of the Power Cab panel, there is no actual separate programming track output. However, the Power Cab has two different programming MODES.

Program track mode will program ANY AND ALL locomotives on the track at the same time. It does not care what is on the track; everything gets programmed.

OPS mode programming  “Programming on the main” is different in the fact that the first thing you do is specify which loco you are working on by selecting the EXISTING loco number. Then all other locos not using that number will ignore the commands being sent.

Some locomotive decoders require you to use one method or the other, while some will let you use either one.
