Add the 5 amp PH Pro , allows the use of up to 62 cabs!
Medium to large layouts (6 to 10 operators). As the layout size grows you will need to add boosters. Set up the Power Cab as a programming station (isolated from layout). Change the SB5 to Dumbooster mode then use it to power an additional 5amp booster district using double rail gaps to isolate the two boosters from each other. Consider adding radio cabs (and upgrade Power Cab to wireless). Use of DCC circuit protection via multiple CP6 or EB1 is highly recommended to isolate the (inevitable) shorts from the rest of the layout.
The Power Cab would be used as a Pro Cab.
The 5amp Ph-Pro system box puts out 5 amps with is enough power for 10 HO scale locos running at the same time.
The 5 amp SB5 would be used as a dumb booster for a second booster section on the layout. This adds additional locomotive capacity for 10 additional HO scale locos running at the same time.
The two 5amp booster sections of would each have the capacity of running 10 HO scale locos running at the same time. This is a combined total of 20 HO scale locos running at the same time on the entire layout.
