Using the AIU with a Power Cab or SB3, SB3A, SB5 Smartbooster

There two different types of device limitations.

1. You can only add three additional NCE cabs of any kind. Using cab addresses 3,4,5.
2. You can add OTHER types of NCE non- cab devices (AIU, Mini Panel, USB)  using 3,4,5  AND  8,9,10

The Power Cab must be set to cab address 2. All devices must have their own unique cab address.

Valid cab addresses (for cabs in) a Power Cab v1.65B system are 2,3,4, or 5. Total of 4 actual cabs. 6 and 7 are unused.  8,9 and 10 can be used for other cab devices (AIU,USB) only.

 Valid cab addresses (for cabs) in an SB5 system are 2,3,4,5, 6 and 7. Total of 6 actual cabs.  8,9 and 10 can be used for other cab devices (AIU,USB) only.

 If the AIU cab address is higher than 10 it will not work due to the limits of the command stations.
