Who makes the Decoder in My Locomotive?

To correctly determine who makes the decoder in your DCC equipped locomotive you need to read the value in CV8. For instructions on how to do this go here: https://ncedcc.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/205053429-How-to-read-or-change-a-CV-Program-Track-Mode-Service-Mode-Method

This is a vital piece of information to have when troubleshooting or fine tuning a locomotive. Each manufacturer uses different CVs for different settings. There are some standard NMRA CVs and some other commonly used CVs, but do not assume that settings for one decoder will work in a decoder from a different manufacturer. Manufacturers even change CVs when redesigning decoders from one version to the next! It is ALWAYS a good idea to check with the manufacturers documentation or website for the most up to date information on your decoder.

Every DCC Decoder has an ID code that tell you who made it The Value in CV 8 as per the list below.
