1. The red light on the MP is a cab bus data activity light. It only blinks when the MP is doing something.
2. The MP is factory set to cab address 3, but that may conflict with one of your existing cab addresses being used.. Be aware that you cannot have duplicate cab addresses.
You can change that in the setup menu. Each NCE system has a list of valid cab addresses that can be used. See attached.
3. The setup jumper is added and removed when the power is off. Across both pins is (on) and in Programming mode if the MP is in program mode correctly. When you turn on the system power, you will see “Mini Panel” on the screen instead of “Pro Cab”.
4. When you are done programming, remove the jumper AND the Pro Cab, reboot your system.
