What you need to know about Version 3:
► Older version 1.x radio cabs can be upgraded to V3. A new wireless board will need to be installed for $106+ shipping
► RB02 base stations cannot be upgraded
========================================
► If you already have version 1.x Cabs and RB02 base stations, they will continue to work as before.
No need to upgrade any of your older wireless cabs. If they are working fine with your RB02, just
stay with what you have.
► You can simply add V3 radio equipment to an existing older RB02-based layout. No need to
remove or upgrade the older RB02 or cab radios. Both versions will work side by side with no issues
► Older version 1.x radio cabs are no longer available. If you want to add more radio cabs to an
older system, then you will need to add an RB03 base station and V3 radio cabs. Any of your older
version 1.x cabs will continue to work with your existing RB02.
► Version 3 radios have 10 different channels (frequencies) available, numbered 0 through 9.
RB02 vs RB03
► RB02 and RB03 radio base stations can coexist on the same layout. Cab addressing rules still
apply; you can’t have 2 cabs with the same address.
► Multiple RB03 base stations can be used on the same layout but must be on different channels to
avoid interference with each other (cab addressing rules still apply)
► Once you select a radio channel on an RB03, it will be remembered until you change it.
► Channel 0 on the RB03 is the same as RB02 base stations and, in most cases, will work with
existing older version 1.x radio cabs (but not guaranteed).
► RB02 base stations cannot be upgraded to V3.
